Ann Woo, Bay Area’s well-known art promoter, inexplicably passed away last year; she adored arts and devoted her life to promoting the merging of multi-cultural arts in the U.S. Since her passing, a group of caring, visionary artists, friends and Ann’s surviving spouse John Chu have incorporated the International Performing Arts of America (IPAA), to carry on Ann Woo’s decades-long vision: to provide artists with the best supports to allow full expression of their talents; to work with other organizations to merge various ethnic cultures into the main stream; to unite all to selflessly work together towards a common goal.
The performance will mark the new IPAA’s World Premiere performance on the one-year anniversary of Ann’s passing. In addition to commemorating Ann Woo, the event provides an annual intermingling platform to various ethnic artists.
