Join the Margaret Wingrove Dance Company in downtown San Jose in celebration of their 35th Anniversary.
An exciting array of guest artists are presented — including musicians from San Jose Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Maestra Barbara Day Turner, playing music by composers Schoenberg, Glazunov, and Borodin.
Also featured are dancers from Silicon Valley Ballet – Alexsandra Meijer, Amy Marie Briones, Akira Takahashi and Kendall Teague.
Special guest concert pianist Mark Anderson plays an all-Chopin program to Wingrove’s Speaking of Love.
Acclaimed choreographer Margaret Wingrove fuses both contemporary and classical movement into unique works including three new premieres – Moments, We Have Flowers, and Janis (depicting the rock & roll icon artist of the 60s, Janis Joplin).
