In this musical version of “The Princess and the Pea” by Hans Christian Andersen, Winnifred is a quirky, brash girl competing for the hand of Prince Dauntless, whose domineering mother has declared he must find a “true” princess before anyone else in the kingdom can marry. Queen Aggravain never expected an applicant like this – but Princess “Fred” quickly starts making friends and winning hearts.
By turns hilarious and raucous, romantic and melodic, this spin on the familiar themes of royal courtship and comeuppance will delight the whole family. You’ll never look at fairy tales quite the same!
