The Aztlán Academy presents its annual City of San José tradition and is honored to once again present a concert, serving communities throughout Santa Clara County with a free performance and exhibition.
Dazzling costumes and authentic footwork characterize traditional folk music and dances capturing the distinct style of the Huasteca Tamaulipeca depicting the Christmas story.
“Cuetlaxochitl” (Flor de Nochebuena/Poinsettia) recreates the Mexican traditional motifs of yuletide with displays of color and light showcasing the essence of the season’s spirit. The suites culminate in a colorful mosaic where children from the audience will be invited to break a piñata.
Aztlán Academy’s seasonal inclusion of Latin American Folklore will proudly feature “Navidad Colombiana” and “Navidad Gitana” vignettes.
Free tickets are available as of November 7 via the “Buy Tickets” button.
