Comedy’s lovable “Queen of Mean” Lisa Lampanelli performs. Her fifth stand-up special, Back to the Drawing Board, premiered on EPIX in June of 2015 and went on to receive a 2015 Grammy Award nomination for Best Comedy Album.
In the special, Lampanelli showed off her radically different look — after having lost more than 105 pounds. That weight loss, which she has maintained for over five years, inspired her to write her play Stuffed, since, having been every size from 2 to 26, she has firsthand knowledge of the food and body-image struggle.
Stuffed, written and starring Lisa, recently played at the iconic Westside Theatre off-Broadway. The play also kicked off Lisa’s own podcast “Getting Stuffed with Lisa Lampanelli,” which covers many of the same topics.
