German composer Paul Hindemith, who spent more than a decade in the United States, wrote one of the most colorful orchestral works of the 20th century, based on themes by his Romantic predecessor, Carl Maria von Weber.
This program will place Hindemith next to two other Romantic predecessors, Schubert and Bruch, masters of melody and emotional expression.
