Featuring the timeless music of Leonard Bernstein, the thrilling company premiere of Jerome Robbins’ Fancy Free celebrates friendship as three sailors on leave dance their way through good-natured competition and rejection, but together, they triumph in the end.
In contrast, Theme and Variations highlights George Balanchine as the consummate ballet classicist in a program that demands exquisite technique from the entire cast, and our dancers will not disappoint in this challenging work.
Finally, back by popular demand, Ballet San Jose is proud to present Twyla Tharp’s In the Upper Room, which played to full houses and standing ovations last season.
